Why I started Coastal Comfort
Although housekeeping may not seem the most desirable profession to some, I see it as a way to help and serve others when they have too much on their plate to focus on cleaning their space. Seeing client reactions to the sight of a spotless kitchen, the scent of a mopped floor, and the touch of a freshly dried, made bed makes all the work worthwhile.
Coastal Comfort is my twist on the family business. I started the company to integrate technology and tools, making this a seamless experience for both clients and providers, not just a simple transaction.
Mom/family connection:
I grew up in the industry. Growing up, I joined my mom for weekend cleanings. I saw her work ethic and worked hard in school to emulate her. She's been in the industry for over 20 years, giving me the opportunity to focus on academics from Edwin's Elementary School in Fort Walton Beach through the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
How I treat my team:
My providers are family to me. I support them during challenging moments and never feel the need to hover to ensure quality service because I trust them, and that trust shows in how clients respond. I show my appreciation by celebrating their birthdays, providing bonuses for reviews, giving them 100% of client tips directly, and recognizing that I wouldn't be anywhere without them.
